Der Sieger gewinnt einen Pavés aka Pflasterstein. Jorgen Leth begleitet in seiner Dokumentation das Rennen von den ersten Vorbereitungen der Fahrer (Beine rasieren, Steak essen) bis zum Zieleinlauf im Velodrome in Roubaix. Wirklich unglaubliche 16mm Aufnahmen und ein grandioser Off-Sprecher – und überhaupt, Spitzenfilm!
